Objectives of the activity:

The learning objectives of MUN Assemblies are to enable participants to:
• Gain insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by providing opportunities to assume the roles of UN representatives
• Understand relations between countries and particularly power relations between rich and poor countries
• Carry out in-depth research which will include geography, history, science and economics related to climate change and issues of global poverty and the MDGs
• Debate the issues that confront world leaders and draft resolutions in response to these global issues
• Develop and experience important social skills such as teamwork and group cooperation, conflict resolution, negotiation, consensus-building, critical thinking, public speaking and listening.

Report on the activity:

Keeping in mind the above objectives Model United Nations was organized in Bal Bharati Gangaram on 18 November 2017.As per their invitation our five students from class VIII & IX took part in MUN and played the role of foreign diplomats of Australia, Egypt, UAE, Canada and Pakistan and they were engage in debate and crafting resolution to resolve issues of national and international importance.

Outcomes of the activity:

It was very innovative step to teach the proceedings of UN to our students, to connect them with international issues and to provide the environment in which they gain the ability to solve them. They learnt about the working procedure of UN and it`s committees UNGA and UNDP.

FIFA-2017 U-17 FOOTBALL WORLD CUP

The world today has truly become a global village. Our students are connected to various international activities by the simple fact that technology is available to them. Individual efforts are already in place, wherein the students have a wide exposure to international links.

As a school, our primary goal is to create opportunities for learning which include an international dimension to all subjects and to foster a cultural understanding among young people / students so that they can work as global citizen.

To make our future citizen an instrument of peace, harmony and brotherhood,BBPS Jharli grasped the opportunity to witness the opening ceremony of FIFA-2017 U-17 FOOTBALL WORLD CUP.

The opening ceremony of FIFA -2017 U-17 Football world cup was a feast for the eyes. Being a part of such a great event gave Bal Bharatians a feeling of pride for not only our country,but also for the globe. Honorable PM of India, Shri Narendra Modi was the chief guest in the inaugural ceremony.

Such events bring a sense of collaboration, joy, enthusiasm, and pride in the students.

We hope to be a part of such events in future and are thankful to SDM,Jhajjar, DEO,Jhajjar and BEO,Jhajjar for the opportunity.
